I am in the process of chaning my fuel pump in a 1989 Dodge D100 V6 3.9L. I have pulled all the guts from the inside of the tank but now cannot figure out how they all go back in. Does anyone have a explosion view of the fuel system or a microfishe? I cannot figure out how the pump and float reassemble to the resevior..If anyone can help me, it would be great appriciated, Thanks...........Also, is there anyway of testing the fuel pump after it has already been disassembled from the tank?How do you change the fuel pump on a 1989 Dodge d100?
there will be a paper that came with the new pump that will give good instructions on installing the new pump,it goes back in exactly the way the old one came out,if you dry run the new pump you may burn it out before it has a chance to get to work so i don't recommend doing that,good luck.How do you change the fuel pump on a 1989 Dodge d100?
haynes manual...good luck..and remember this the new replacement pump may differ from the OEM pump..
