How hard is is it to change a fuel pump module on a 2001 pont grand prix 3.1v6?

It is not actually that difficult. The fuel module is accessable without removing the fuel tank, or even lifting the car. There is an access plate in the trunk of the car, under the carpet. Open the trunk, and lift out the carpet. Because of the gas fumes, it is a good idea to set up a fan to keep the fumes from collecting. Now flip down the center of the back seat cusion, and open the pass thru panel to the trunk with the key. The access panel is right there, remove the 7 screws, and you are looking at the top of the fuel sender. Nothing to it. Book time to replace it is 1.4 hours, warranty replacement time is .7 hours, which is more than enough for a skilled tech. Just remember that when you pull the module out, it will have fuel in it, so hand it out thru the open trunk without tipping it. If you take it out thru the back seat and spill gas on the seat it will be difficult to get the fuel smell out of the car. It's much easier to wipe up the fuel out of the trunk if you spill any.How hard is is it to change a fuel pump module on a 2001 pont grand prix 3.1v6?
pretty hard for the home mechanicHow hard is is it to change a fuel pump module on a 2001 pont grand prix 3.1v6?
Not hard. Take it to a mechanic that has the tools to be able to drop the gas tank. That's where the fuel pump is.
