I bought a used fuel pump and don't have any idea how complicated it is going be to put it on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.How do u change the fuel pump on a 96 Honda Passport? Do u need to replace the whole sending unit?
Drain as much fuel as you can, probably syphon thru the filler neck. The tank has to be removed to access the pump. Usually it takes me 2.5 hours to do one. Be sure to replace both of the filters too. One on the pump and the other between the tank and the engine.How do u change the fuel pump on a 96 Honda Passport? yes you have to drop the gas tank and the fuel pump will be inside it along with the level feeler for the fuel guage....its not that hard of a job....but extremely irritating....take it to a shop...trust me its worth it
