If i'm not wrong (and I could be), it's as easy as dropping the fuel tank (and all that that involves:think hoses), turning the pump assembly, pulling it out, putting in the new one, turning it back in, and reinstalling the tank. Make sure the tank is damn near empty when you do it, btw.. makes it so much lighter, and less messy if you drop the tank, too.How easy is it to change fuel pump in kia sortage 97 model?
Usually the fuel pump is part of a cluster (pump/gause filter/level semder) that is inside the top of the fuel tank. You should be able to %26quot;pull out%26quot; the rear seat and see a bolted in pannel, unbolt this and you should see the fuel tank. on it will be a round thinggie with a couple of wires going to it, this is the fuel pump, unbolt this and remove (it will be fiddly but it will come) and put the new one in. Make sure the arm with the float is the same way round as the one that came out. Total time .5-1 hr.
