in the tank. you have to drop the exhaust just to access it. not to mention getting around the rear diff. take a peek under your car....then u'll take it to the nearest repair shop. difficult job on a vette. and true get an AC Delco pump. or you will be doing it two,three,four....times. Renee is correct the fuel pump is inside the fuel tanl and the tank must be dropped. they are a pain to do so buy a OEM pump if you can afford it.Say does anyone know how to change a fuel pump on a 1986 corvette and where the fuel pump is located?
The fuel pump is located in the gas tank, you have to drop the fuel take and take out the bolts.
