Before you drain and drop the tank and pay $200 for a new pump, make sure the problem IS the pump. Just because fuel rail pressure is low doesn't mean pump is bad. Sensors control pump, pump is fused, filter could be plugged.How do you change the fuel pump on a 2003 Grand Am.?

your fuel pump is in the fuel tank. be careful not to bend the plastic fuel lines.
