its work but easy...get the gas out....unhook fuel lines and gauge wires.....unhook gas hose filler...unbolt tank...drop it...pull out gauge and pump....my sister and i did her 78 ford 150...took 4 hours...and we r NOT mechanics..2002 Ram 1500 -- how difficult is it to change the in-tank fuel pump?
you can also remove the truck bed to access the top of the fuel tank. I just did one on a 91 chevy truck that way. I hate dropping the tank. But I had a fork truck to lift the bed off also.
