What is the entire process of changing the fuel pump and fuel filter in a 1985 toyota cressida?

I own a 1985 toyota cressida and it has not been ran since 2001 so there has been gas in it for about 8 years now. The car starts but dies out because the gas is no longer good in it. I also filled the tank thinking that it empty and it overflowed and came out from underneath the car. Now I need to know how to change the fuel filter? How to drain the tank w/o syphening it? If there is a drain/hole? How to change the fuel pump? Best way to drop the fuel tank? Please help me out, i need to get it up and running asap!!!!! and i wont take offense to the step by step response either. Thank you! What is the entire process of changing the fuel pump and fuel filter in a 1985 toyota cressida?
the first step is to jack up the back of the car. undo the bolts on the straps that hold the tank in place and the ones on the filler neck. lower it down with a jack cause if its full it will be heavy. the leak you have is probably around the sending unit gasket. so take the sending unit out and that will be your easiest way to drain it. without siphoning. replace the gasket on the sending unit. but after you drain it. get some lacquer thinner and dump in the tank about a gallon and slosh it around and let it sit over night. this will remove the dye and sludge build up in the tank. while your doing that. take your gas line and use a compressor disconnect the line at the carburetor and blow through it with the compressor. if you have an in-line filter you will need to replace it with a new one. after that take the carb off and put a kit in it because it will be gummed up from the dye in the gasoline. there is a filter at the inlet of your carb gas line be sure to change that also. take the carb apart and soak it in lacquer thinner be sure to take the jets out then reassemble the carb with a new kit hook up the gas line empty the tank and blow inside it with the compressor to dry it out replace the sending unit bolt it back in place and fill it up. that should have you up and running in 1 days time.
