fuel pump fault (anyone know how i can fix this )?

i have a ford transit 2.5 Di it started spluttering on occasions over1-2 months then it didn't start i was told it was the pump so i changed the pump i have been told it is something to do with the immobilizer because the second pump was off another van

(anyone know how i can fix this )? fuel pump fault (anyone know how i can fix this )?
yes it will be the immobiliser built into modern injection pumps, you can get it reprogrammed at main Ford dealer or a good auto-electrician will sort it .... fuel pump fault (anyone know how i can fix this )?
I dont think its that it might just need bleeding fuel pump fault (anyone know how i can fix this )?
i don't see how the immobiliser would be the problem as that should be connected to the electrics noot the fuel system. the second pump could also be faulty, the glow plugs might need changing, the fuel system might need bleeding (although most modern Diesel's self bleed now, there may still be a manual hand pump under the bonnet somewhere), or there may just be some crap in the fuel system fuel pump fault (anyone know how i can fix this )?
With all diesel problems you need to do a process of elimination...I think first of all rig up a gravity fall of clean diesel or clean out your tank and pipe lines.....If the problem is still there then remove your injectors and get them cleaned...This will cost a few pounds but well worth it....To me, by the sound of what you say an injector could be the problem.......Don't use easy start, it will ruin your engine for good. Have you done the simple things like change the fuel filter....and if you have is it fitted correctly...Its difficult to say what is wrong over the net...
