How many hours of labor for a mechanic to change a fuel pump on a 1999 Ford Escort ZX2?

I need to know what the typical charge would be, because someone is overcharging me. I know that mechanics can reference how long a job is supposed to take for quotes, does anyone have access to such a thing? How many hours of labor for a mechanic to change a fuel pump on a 1999 Ford Escort ZX2?
Wyatt,

I looked it up through All Data which suggests a labor time of 0.8 of an hour. Where I live, the average labor rate is $80 an hour. So that works out to about $64.

However, the garage may add time to the job for testing the fuel pressure before and after the job. This could add another 0.5 to 1.0 to the job. Testing for fuel pressure is not considered part of a typical fuel pump replacement.

They certainly shouldn't charge you for draining the fuel tank since the fuel pump access on the ZX2 is underneath the back seat. It does NOT require dropping the fuel tank.

They may also charge you to replace the fuel filter. That is entirely up to you, but I would seriously consider having it done. How many hours of labor for a mechanic to change a fuel pump on a 1999 Ford Escort ZX2?
